93Rebecca Hill was born in Georgia circa 1832.1

On 19 November 1854 she married 92John G. Tant in Richmond County, Georgia.2 For more information about their marriage, their lives together, etc., see his profile since most of that information won't be repeated here.

During the American Civil War, 93Rebecca was included as the wife of a soldier in two Richmond County salt ration lists.

1862: "Mrs. John Tant" (i.e., 93Rebecca) on a salt ration list for Richmond County, Georgia. Full page.3

1863: 93Rebecca on the next salt ration list for Richmond County, Georgia. Full page.4

1862: "Mrs. John Tant" (i.e., 93Rebecca) on a salt ration list for Richmond County, Georgia. Full page.3

1863: 93Rebecca on the next salt ration list for Richmond County, Georgia. Full page.4

The aboveshown 1863 salt ration list is the last record I've found of her.* She's missing from her husband's household in the 1870 census,5 so she presumably had died. A much later record explicitly describes 92John as widowed.6

Footnote:

*I checked the 1864 salt ration lists for both Richmond County7 and Glascock County,8 but 93Rebecca isn't included. Her absence is unsurprising, however, since her husband had gone absent without leave earlier that year.9
